Missouri cities would be prevented from filing lawsuits against gun makers under a bill passing the Legislature and being sent to Governor Bob Holden. House sponsor Larry Crawford of California blames what he refers to as frivilous lawsuits for contributing for the downfall of the gun manufacturing industry in this country. Some cities in the country, including St. Louis, have threatened lawsuits against gun makers, saying they should be held liable for violent deaths.
