A report in the Kansas City Star will delight Missouri basketball fans, if it’s accurate. The article says Mizzou will not be punished for its self-reported violations in their recruitment of VMI transfer Jason Conley. The controversy stems from calls Quin Snyder and assistant Lane Odom made to Conley’s mother. They said they were just returning calls to tell Karyne Conley that they couldn’t discuss a pending transfer. The report also cited sources that say that recruit Linas Kleiza will sign with Mizzou soon. He’s 6-8, 240 pounds and averaged over 20 points and 12 rebounds per game with Montrose Christian High in Rockville, Md.
