A coalition of community groups is calling on Governor Bob Holden to veto the budget sent to him by the Legislature. The Missouri Coalition for Budget and Policy Priorities has previously stated its concerns over the impact of proposed budget cuts on many Missourians. Now, faced with almost certain cuts, the Coalition is calling on the Governor to veto all or parts of the budget presented by state lawmakers. The Coalition is made up of about 80 organizations, service providers, and faith groups.
