The road is proving to be a tough place for the Cardinals. After sweeping a six-game home stand and winning seven in a row over all, they’ve now lost three straight in Cincinnati. St. Louis never lead in the 4-2 loss to the Reds last night. Cincinnati scored runs in the second and fourth innings off starter Jason Simontacchi, who took the loss in 6 innings of work. He dropped to 1-2 allowing four runs off four hits and two walks. He struck out nine batters. Scott Rolen hit his seventh homer in the loss. The Cardinals dropped a game behind first place Chicago with the loss.
