State Insurance Department Offers Advice To Tornado Victims

May 7, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Department of Insurance is offering some assistance to Missourians who suffered property damages when tornadoes touched down in several parts of the state. Department Spokesman Randy McConnell says insurance agents in some parts of the state are being deluged with phone calls and it might take a little while before the calls can be returned. McConnell says in a typical instance, the company has a maximum of 10 days to acknowledge a claim, 30 days to investigate, and 15 days to pay or deny the amount.
