SLU Gets Formal, Verbal Commitments

May 7, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Saint Louis University has signed 6-11 center Ian Vouyoukas of Greece. He averaged 23.8 points and 11 rebounds per game in a club team in Athens. Vouyoukas, who turns 18 at the end of the month, is the second big man the Billikens have nabbed for their 2003 recruiting class. 7-0 Bryce Husak of Mt. Vernon, Iowa signed last month. SLU also got a verbal commitment from 5-9 junior guard Dwayne Polk of Vashon High in St. Louis, who had offers from Valparaiso, Missouri and Purdue. Verbal commitments are non-binding.
