FDA Tries To Close High Ridge Computer Software Company

May 7, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Food and Drug Adminstration is going to court to shut down a computer software company in High Ridge. The FDA says software made by Multidata Systems International Corporation has been linked to five deaths in Panama because of excessive radiation. The owner of the company already has signed a consent agreement to stop making and distributing its software until standards set by the FDA are met. The FDA says the company knew some of its software used in controlling radiation doses for cancer patients calculated excessive doses.
