Tigers Make Early Top 25

Faurot Field doesn’t even have its new turf installed, but the team that will eventually play on it has already been honored. Athlon Magazine ranks the Missouri Tigers 25th in their recently released Top 25 pre-season poll. The publication also predicts that Mizzou will finish second in the Big 12 North in 2003. Athlon tabbed quarterback Brad Smith as a second-team All-American. Mizzou opens their season on August 30, in St. Louis against Illinois. The Tigers were 5-7 in 2002.
