Missouri’s unemployment rate for March remained steady, with the seasonally adjusted rate edging up a tenth of a point to 4.8 percent. That’s seven-tenths of a point below what it was last March and a full point below the national rate of 5.8 percent. Economic Development Director Joe Driskill says this is another indication that the state’s economic climate is on the upswing, with the state starting to emerge from the national recession.
