The SMS Bears and the 19th-ranked Missouri Tigers met last week in Columbia for a 12-9 slug-fest favoring SMS. Last night the Bears played host and came away with a 2-1 win over the Tigers. Mizzou took a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning before SMS took advantage of two hits and two errors to take the lead. Brooks Colvin advanced to second base when Tyler Williams misplayed his single. Colvin eventually scored when Tiger third baseman Jeremy Hernandez made a throwing error to first. Tim Rafferty had the game-winning RBI, driving in pitcher Rick Wilson with a single. SMS, who has beaten Missouri five straight times, improved to 24-15. Mizzou dropped to 27-13.
