April 22, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Supreme Court has set a May 14th execution date for John Smith who was convicted of killing his former girlfriend Brandie Kearnes and her step-father Wayne Hoewing on July 4th, 1997. Kearnes and Hoewing were stabbed to death in their home near Canton in Northeast Missouri. Before Kearnes died, she tried to scrawl Smith’s name in her own blood on the kitchen floor.
