Fort Leonard Wood Engineers Patrol Streets Of Baghdad

A group of army engineers from Fort Leonard Wood has been assigned to patrol streets, to shut down black market dealing, and to intercept illegal weapons in the Baghdad suburb of Taji. St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Terry Ganey reports in today’s newspaper that the commander of the 5th battalion Combat Engineers has become, in effect, the mayor of the town.
