Canucks Force Seventh Game Against Blues

April 21, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

For a while, it looked like the St. Louis Blues would cruise into the second round of the NHL playoffs. Now, St. Louis is in a dogfight to get past Vancouver. The Canucks scored a pair of goals in both the first and second periods, then held on for a 4-3 win over the Blues in Game 6 of their series Sunday night. Eric Boguniecki and Doug Weight scored in the third period for St. Louis, but the Blues never got any closer. Markus Nasland led Vancouver with a goal and two assists. Weight scored two goals and added an assist. He now has 12 points in six playoff games. The Blues and Canucks are now tied, 3-3. Game 7 will be played in Vancouver on Tuesday night.
