After going back-and-forth with Missouri for eight innings, the SMS Bears scored four times in the ninth to pick up a 12-9 win on Tuesday night. Shaun Marcum, Adam Pummill and Brooks Colvin each had three hits and RBIs in the ninth. Pummill’s single with one out scored Tim Rafferty and put SMS ahead for good. Colvin finished the night with five RBIs, and pitcher Rick Wilson also drove in three runs. Jayce Tingler led the Tigers with three hits and four RBIs. Chad Mulholland (5-1) gave up one run in two-and-a-thirds innings of relief and picked up the win. Travis Wendte (0-1) took the loss for Missouri.
