MacInnis Likely Out for Blues

April 14, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The St. Louis Blues will likely be without captain Al MacInnis tonight when they host Game 3 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series against Vancouver. The Blues captain injuried his right shoulder early in the first period in Game 2 of the series Saturday night. MacInnis did finish his shift after Vancouver’s Todd Bertuzzi slammed him into the boards, but did not return after that. With defenseman Jeff Finley also hurting, the Blues recalled Tom Koivisto from the minors on Sunday. Koivisto played in 22 games with the Blues this season. The Blues and Canucks are currently tied 1-1. Game 3 gets underway at 7:00 tonight in St. Louis.
