House Still Wrestling With Utilities Bill

April 14, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Members of the Missouri House could return this week to a bill relaxing some state regulation of utilities after debating the measure during portions of two days last week. The bill covers a number of issues regarding public utilities, from providing incentives for them to build power plants in Missouri to provisions allowing utilities to recover the costs of security implemented in wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Once debate concludes, an initial vote on the bill can be taken.
