A five-game winless streak came to a sudden end for the Blues in Vancouver. They topped the Canucks 6-0 in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series. Cory Stillman and Tyson Nash scored in a 31-second span in the first period to get things rolling for St. Louis. Alexander Khavanov scored twice and Pavol Demitra, who became a father on Wednesday, had two assists. Keith Tkachuk and Doug Weight accounted for the other two goals. The Blues were 3-9 on the power play. Goaltender Chris Osgood made 20 saves to get the shut out. Game 2 is Saturday in Vancouver.
