Cards Clubbed By Rockies

April 10, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Rockies battered the Cardinals 9-4 last night at Coors Field. Colorado took an early 9-0 thanks to a four-run rally in the first inning and a five-run rally in the third. Larry Walker and Preston Wilson drove in three apiece. Brett Tomko was charged with all nine runs, losing his first decision of the year. The Cardinals’ runs came as a result two base hits. Scott Rolen hit a solo home run in the fourth and Edgar Renteria drove in three with a bases loaded double in the seventh. The Cards and Rockies play this afternoon at 2:05.
