The war against Iraq has brought about some interesting ways of demonstrating support for U.S. troops putting themselves in harm’s way. Senator Chuck Gross of St. Charles has come up with one of his own. He’s placed small flags of the U.S. and its main ally – Great Britain – on his desk in the chamber and he’s encouraging other Senators to do the same. So far, Senator John Cauthorn of Mexico has joined in this show of support for the partner nations. Gross says other Senators should do the same and should feel free to place small flags of other coalition partners on their desks, as well.
