April 8, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Chiefs continued the reconstruction of their defense yesterday by signing free agent defensive end Vonnie Holliday to a five-year contract. Holliday, who has had a problem staying healthy battled knee problems last season and missed a lot of time in 2000. In 2001 he had a career high 81 tackles. Last season he recorded six sacks. Five of them came on December 22 against the Bills. His deal is worth a reported $20-million with $3-million signing bonus.
