Mother Nature proved to be the player of the game in the Show-Me State. The Royals bid to start 6-0 was rained out in Kansas City. They took both games they played from the Indians. The Royals open up a three game series against winless Detroit tomorrow. Jeremy Affeldt, Miguel Asencio and Runelvys Hernandez will start all three games. This is the best start ever for the franchise. In St. Louis, the Cardinals were hoping for some revenge. After dropping two close games to the Astros on Friday and Saturday, Sunday’s game was rained out. The Cards face the Rockies in Denver tomorrow.
