A bill designed to allow Missouri to get $76-Million in federal election money over the next four years moves forward in the House. The bill would allow the state to tap $19.5-Million the first year, allowing counties to replace punch-card balloting with the optical scan and touch screen ballots preferred by federal officials. It also would fund creation of a central voter registration data base in the Secretary of State’s Office.
