There was no drama at Busch Stadium last night. The Cardinals took it to the Brewers with a 7-0 shutout. Woody Williams took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, but it was broken up by Eric Young’s two-out triple. He went 6 2/3’s innings, allowing two hits. He struck out five and walked one. The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the first, St. Louis had three-run innings in the 4th and 5th. Eduardo Perez and Mike Matheny drove in two apiece. Albert Pujols and Scot Rolen also had RBI’s; Rolen has four on the season. The Brewers managed only five hits on the night.
