In St. Joseph, the NCAA Division II Women’s Elite 8 got underway yesterday. Defending Champion California University of Pennsylvania topped Northern Florida 76-62, Bentley College beat Central Arkansas 80-69, Northern Kentucky got the best of Washburn 65-53 and South Dakota State beat Cal- State Bakersfield 83-62. The semifinals are today and the championship game will be Saturday.
