Missouri’s second-biggest university is ready to hike tuition rates another eight percent. The Board of Governors at Southwest Missouri State University will consider the increase when it meets tomorrow. It would work out to an increase of $150 per semester for a student taking 15 credit hours. School officials say they have to do it because of state budget cuts.
