7 Tiger Grapplers At NCAA Championships in KC

March 20, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri basketball team isn’t the only squad to open up tournament play today. The Mizzou wrestling team has qualified seven wrestlers for the NCAA Championships, which get underway today in Kansas City. Brian Barker who wrestles in the 184 pound class and Tryon Woodley who wrestles at 165 became Missouri’s first big 12 Champions two weeks ago. The Tigers finished second in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma St. All seven of the Tigers grapplers are ranked 20th or higher nationally.
