Place-kicker Morten Andersen agreed to a four-year deal with the Chiefs yesterday. Andersen, who’s 43 years old, says he wants to keep playing until he’s 50. He made a franchise-record 51 extra points last season and converted 22 of 26 field goals in 2002, despite battling hamstring problems. 2003 will be his 23rd season in the NFL. Last week the Chiefs claimed kicker Jose Cortez off waivers from the 49ers in case Andersen didn’t return to Kansas City. Cortez may be retained for kick off duty.
