Four St. Louis County communities are looking at new police cars that will have some of the appearance of NASCAR cars. Country Club Hills has signed an agreement with a North Carolina company that will sell the cars to the city for a dollar. The company then sells advertising that appears on the police car. Peveley, Cool Valley, and Byrnes Mill are considering similar deals. City officials say the idea might make a lot of sense in times when city budgets are tight and the need for new police vehicles is high.
