The annual Public Education Evaluation Report – or PEER – is now available, comparing and contrasting the state’s various school districts. The Report breaks down the districts in such a way as to allow communities to compare their districts with those of other communities sharing similar socio-economic factors. PEER is a project of the University of Missouri and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. Chamber President Dan Mehan says there’s a very good reason for the business community to be involved: Education is an integral part of any economic activity. Quality public education helps to attract businesses to Missouri and improves efforts to keep existing businesses inthe state. The report can be found, online, at www.mo-peer.net
