SMS freshman Kari Koch has been named to the Missouri Valley All-Conference first team. In her first year, Koch has averaged 14.4 points per game. She’s the only Lady Bear to make the team. Indiana State’s Melanie Boeglin is the only other fresman on the All-MVC squad and is Koch’s only competition for freshman of the year. SMS faces Drake tomorrow in round one of the MVC Tournament in Des Moines.
