A St. Louis policeman injured during a car chase last month has died because a bloodclot formed after surgery to fix an ankle broken when the police car crashed. Officer James Branson is the second St. Louis officer to die of injuries while chasing a stolen car. The people in the stolen car got away, but if they’re caught they now could be charged with murder.
