The Chiefs announced Monday morning that linebacker Shawn Barber has agreed to a seven-year contract. Barber has played five seasons in the NFL, and has put together two 100-tackle seasons. In 2002 he made 119 tackles with one sack. Barber also picked off two passes, returning one of the interceptions for a touchdown. Barber will play outside linebacker, which will allow the Chiefs to move Mike Maslowski to inside linebacker. Barber was scheduled to meet with the Rams today, but cancelled the trip yesterday.
