Green Signs 7-Year $50-Million Deal

February 28, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Trent Green has a new deal and the Chiefs have some more money under the salary cap. Not a bad day for both parties. Green agreed to a seven-year $50-milllion dollar deal, which includes cap-friendly bonuses of over $11-million. The deal allows the Chiefs to avoid paying him an $8-million roster bonus, which would have gone against the cap. Wit the freed up money they signed linebacker Mike Maslowski and defensive end Gary Stills to long term contracts of six and four years.
