Blunt And Legislature Move To Secure Federal Vote Reform Funding

February 26, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Secretary of State Matt Blunt is supporting efforts in the House and Senate to bring Missouri into compliance with new federal election regulations. Those new guidelines, contained in the Help America Vote Act, include implementation of a centralized and official voter registration database and a requirement that there be at least one disability-accessible voting machine per precinct. Once in full compliance, Missouri stands to receive up to $76-Million from the federal government in its move to improve election systems across the country.
