Three people have been killed in a traffic crash on icy Interstate 55 in southeast Misosuri’s New Madrid County, and a man who got out of his vehicle to check on the accident was hit and killed by another vehicle that slid out of control at the accident scene. The Highway Patrol also reports another fatal accident caused by ice on the roads – a Robertsville woman whose car slid off the road and overturned down a steep embankment and hit a tree.
