Senator Jim Talent used his first U.S. Senate floor speech, this week, to talk about the need to provide quality health care for the country’s uninsured. Talent says many of the uninsured in Missouri and throughout the country are working for small businesses, and he says small business needs help to provide coverage to employees. Talent says the high premiums for coverage are making it almost impossible for small businesses to provide health care coverage to employees. He’s calling for Association Health Plans, which allow small business owners to buy quality health care through their trade associations.
