Poll Shows Missourians Have Favorable Opinion Of President

February 6, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Missourians still like President Bush. The latest Zogby International poll done for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch gives Bush a 72 percent favorable rating among Missourians. That’s about four points higher than some new national polls. The same survey shows strong name recognition for a couple of potential challengers to Bush next year – Gephardt and Lieberman. But others are not very well-known. Gephardt’s name recognition in Missouri is about 86 percent and half of those polled say they have a favorable feeling toward him. Sixteen percent don’t know how they feel about Gephardt.
