Blues Tie Stars

February 6, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Blues were 1:30 away from a big road win over the Stars, but Bill Guerin saw things differently. Guerin scored on St. Louis goalie Brent Johnson with just 90 seconds remaining in regulation. No one scored in overtime and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Brent Johnson stopped 29 shots. St. Louis didn’t take advantage of the power play. They went just 1-9 on the man-advantage. Keith Tkachuk and Dallas Drake scored in the first period to give St. Louis an early 2-0 lead. The Blues earned a point for the tie, which moved them two points ahead of second place Detroit in the Central Division standings.
