February 5, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Convicted killer Kenneth Kenley, who shot and killed a man during an armed robbery in a Poplar Bluff tavern in January of 1984, has been executed by lethal injection at the prison in Potosi. Kenley, who also shot the bartender during that robbery, also robbed a convenience store and abducted a customer, shooting her as he fled. He later tried to rob a motel and was eventually arrested in Corning, Arkansas. Kenley was pronounced dead at 12:03 this morning. He is the 60th Missouri inmate to be put to death since capital punishment was reinstated.
