February 3, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

A week after the Buccaneers routed the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII, the NFC was pounded in the Pro Bowl 45-20. Willie Roaf and Tony Gonzalez were starters for AFC and Dante Hall returned punts and kicks. Marshall Faulk was the lone representative for the Rams and he carried the ball four times for just seven yards. Tony Gonzalez on the other hand, made a splash. He caught five passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. He caught an eleven-yard strike from former teammate Rich Gannon. The touchdown and extra point gave the AFC a 14-3 lead in the first quarter. The AFC lead 31-6 at the half. Dolphins’ running back Ricky Williams was the MVP with 56 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
