Blues Top Sabres In OT

The Blues extended their lead in the Central Division to two points on Thursday. St. Louis came away with 2-1overtime win against the Sabres. Trailing 1-0 in the third period, Dallas Drake scored on a goal assisted by Doug Weight and Cory Stillman. It was Weights 44th helper of the season. He’s second in the league behind Mario Lemieux. In overtime, Keith Tkachuk scored his team leading 20th goal, to end the game. Brent Johnson made 16 saves for the win. Combined with Detroit’s 2-2 tie with Florida, the Blues took a two-point advantage in the Central Division race. The Blues have 66 points, the Red Wings have 64.
