The Royals second best pitcher from 2002 has left. Jeff Suppan inked a one-year deal with the Pirates yesterday. He was 9-16 last season. 17-game winner Paul Byrd signed with the Braves. No other Royal pitcher won more than four games last season. James Baldwin, who the Royals picked up this winter, won seven games last season with the Mariners.
