The income tax filing season is upon us and the Internal Revenue Service is taking steps to make it easier and more affordable for taxpayers to file online. Bill Barksdale with the IRS in St. Louis says for most Americans, there is no longer any cost associated with filing electronically and that’s a departure from the past.Those who get to file for free include any taxpayers 20-years-old or younger and those who are 45 or older, active military personnel, and taxpayers who file the Form 1040EZ.
