In the end most Chief fans probably didn’t lose much sleep over the Raiders 48-21 loss to the Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII. But quietly there were probably a few who were rooting for their bitter rivals, just to see Rich Gannon succeed. The former Chiefs quarterback had one of the worst nights of his career, throwing five interceptions. Three were returned for touchdowns. For some in Missouri, the Buccaneers win was rather special. Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden began his professional coaching career 15 years ago when he became the quarterback coach at Southeast Missouri State. Gruden spent one year at SEMO before moving on.
