West central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton says he is not at all pleased with the comments and actions of U.S. allies France and Germany over possible United States plans to launch military action against Iraq. The French and the Germans are leaning toward opposing any such action, with the French holding out the possibility of using their veto power in the United Nations Security Countil. During a visit to Whiteman Air Force Base, Skelton expressed his dismay, saying he is disappointed with the leadership of both those countries. He adds he believes France, Germany, and other countries will be on board if and when the U.S. decides to act.
