A Kansas City judge says there’s overwhelming evidence that the family of wrestler Owen Hart, and maybe its law firm, engaged in fraud and collusion in a settlement with one of the defendants in a wrongful death lawsuit. Circuit judge Douglas Long is referring to the suit Hart’s family filed after Hart fell to his death at Kansas City’s Kemper arena in 1999. The Hart famly had dismissed one of the defendants from the suit, with no settlement involved. World Wrestling Entertainment, the former WWF, has settled with the Hart family for $18-Million, but wants to recoup some of that loss from other defendants. Long’s order says WWE can proceed agianst Lewmar, Incorporated – the company dismissed from the suit by the Hart family.
