A man who was on Illinois’ death row and had his sentence commuted to life, could be facing the death penalty in Missouri. Ernest Jamison is wanted for his alleged part in a three-state murder spree in June, 1995, for which he has already been sentenced to 25 years in Tennessee and had requested and received a death sentence in Illinois. Jamison is alleged to have killed a gas station attendant in the St. Louis-area city of Arnold. Jefferson County Assistant Prosecutor Steve Jerrell says his office has been asking to get Jamison for some time. Jerrell’s not sure whether he’ll seek the death penalty in this case, if Jamison is sent to Missouri.
