SMS Crushes Ill St.

January 16, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The SMS men weren’t about to let Illinois State get their first conference win of the season at their expense. The Bears topped the Cardinals 60-46 at the Hammons Center. They’re now 7-6 overall and 4-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Terrance McGee did a little bit of everything, scoring 15 points, grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out six assists. Kellen Easley had 14 points and five steals. SMS was the beneficiary of 22 Illinois State turnovers. ISU fell to 1-12 overall and 0-5 in the league. SMS faces Evansville in Springfield on Saturday.
