The state’s business community is reacting negatively toward Governor Bob Holden’s budget proposals in his State of the State Address. The Missouri Chamber of Commerce says the Governor has ignored the root of the state’s budget problems – that the state is spending more than it has to spend. While it is pleased with Holden’s plan to cut the corporate income tax rate, the Chamber believes the Governor is trying to balance the books on the backs of business and creating a negative business climate in the state.
