Highway Commissioners Poised To Decide On Transportation Funding Options

January 10, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Highway commissioners will have to decide this morning which of four transportation funding options they will go with over the next several years. The plans differ between how much of the money will be sent to urban versus rural areas. Vice Chair of the Commission Barry Orscheln says urban and rural folks each have their reasons why their areas should get the biggest share of the highway dollars. Orscheln says commissioners will have to pick a funding plan that will please the largest number of people or at least, anger the fewest people.
